Issue with uploading parameters from MCi2xx with V1.5+ firmware and Ethernet with V1.6+ firmware

Applies to: V02.05.01 and earlier

Applies to V02.05.01 and earlier

Connect version V2.5.1 and earlier will fail to correctly upload (read) parameters to the project or a parameter file from the following device and firmware combinations:

Doing so will result in the parameter file containing corrupt and missing data for these options and when later downloaded to the same or other module only a very small set of parameters will be updated. This is due to a change in the internal parameter file in the firmware of the affected modules.

Note that viewing and editing the parameters whilst online in a Connect listings view is unaffected.

You must upgrade to Connect V2.5.2 or later (available shortly) to correctly store parameters from these options with the firmware versions indicated above.

Note that this issue also affects transferring parameters via SD or SMARTCARDs in that saved parameter data from the firmware versions listed above is NOT compatible with modules that have earlier firmware fitted (a Slotx HF.5 trip will occur). Going the other way and loading parameter data saved by an earlier firmware version into the latest is fine.
